Roger Cooper

Roger has over thirty years experience in the management of the benefit programmes for major clients, mainly at a number of large consultancies including Towers Perrin.

During his time at Towers Perrin, Roger was responsible for leading their Trustee Adviser Practice and was tasked with developing tools aimed at delivering best practice solutions to clients. He was also responsible for the development and day to day running of generic and bespoke Trustee Training courses. At Pi, he is leveraging this experience in his capacity as an independent trustee.

Specialist Subjects

Roger provides both independent trustee and consulting support, he provides advice to a portfolio of trustee clients and undertakes the role of Secretary to the Trustees. He has considerable project management experience supporting companies and trustees with the introduction of benefit changes, helping address legislative change, dealing with the impact of mergers and acquisitions and communicating with members.

Roger has undertaken a number of lengthy interim pensions manager assignments and so has first-hand experience of issues faced by companies and trustees.

Roger is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and a Fellow of the Pensions Management Institute. He is a regular contributor of articles for pensions magazines and a lecturer on NAPF training courses.
