Delivering a DC investment strategy that engages your employees

The recently published Defined Contribution Principles for investment, (IGG 6 principles), reinforces the need for trustees and employers to deliver and communicate appropriate investment opportunities to help employees plan for sufficient income in their retirement.  With the abolition of the default retirement age, all workplace savings platforms need to address their employees' main concern:

"The question isn't at what age I want to retire, it's at what income", George Foreman

At this seminar, Skip McMullan, an Associate at Pi and Chair of the Bank of America mixed DB/DC scheme discusses why the scheme received the Engaged Investor award for "Best Investment Strategy for DC schemes" in 2011.  He will look at why they replaced 45 funds with 15 white labelled funds, how they communicated the changes to 11,000 members and the practicalities not just of the investment governance but also the administration platform necessary to support these changes.

The focus has consistently been on fully engaging members and delivering additional support when it matters and where it counts.
